On the Friends Feed page when I select the "Comments" button for feed items from mastodon.social nothing happens. If select the "Comments" button for feed items from a wordpress installation I get a "We tried to load comments remotely but there were no comments." response even though there are comments on the posting. When I select the "Boost" button on either post types a check box appears next the word Boost but after a refresh it goes away as if nothing happened.

I am able to follow my profile on the wordpress installation from my mastodon.social account and I can see posts from my wordpress account on the mastodon.social as well.

I am very new using this plugin. I installed it yesterday and I am still getting familiar with it and doing some testing. And I have exactly the same issue.

"Comments" are not shown on the Status feed page. I could use the "comments" button to reply to a ActivityPub/Mastodon post and this appears in Mastodon feed but it is not shown in Friends page getting the same message error: "We tried to load comments remotely but there were no comments."

WordPress Version: 6.7.1
ActivityPub Version: 4.6.0

I had to apply the same "hack" (manually creating a webfinger file) to make webfinger work on my hosting.

Sorry for the trouble! This should be fixed in the next version of the ActivityPub plugin, I submitted a fix here: Automattic/wordpress-activitypub#1118
