echoSurf is a voice based Google search tool that allows you to quickly search for information on the internet without having to switch between applications or manually type your query.
Imagine you have a friend who can't type very well, but they really want to search for things on the internet. With echoSurf, they can just talk to their computer's web browser, and it will open a new tab in their web browser and search for what they said! No more typing, just talking.
- Run the echoSurf.bat file to start the program.
- When prompted, say your search query out loud.
- echoSurf will open a new Google search tab with your query.
- (Recommended) Use the assigned keyboard shortcut to quickly launch echoSurf.
- Clone the echoSurf repository:
git clone https://github.com/305kishan/echoSurf.git
- Navigate to the project directory:
cd echoSurf
- Install the required Python dependencies:
pip install -r requirements.txt
- Update Python Interpreter & Python script locations in
echoSurf.bat
- Double Click the batch file to start echoSurf application.
- Assign Keyboard shortcut for even more Hands-Free accessibility.
