Fork-only changes: what is proposed, what is held, and why #1
Description
State of this fork's delta against upstream/master, so nothing is forgotten.
Proposed upstream (open PRs)
- interp: implement the help builtin, plus times mvdan/sh#1381 —
helpbuiltin, plustimesandumask - interp: implement the job control builtins (jobs, kill, disown, fg, bg) mvdan/sh#1382 — job control (
jobs/fg/bg/kill/disown),enable,compgen,history, and detaching background jobs from the statement context - interp: support js/wasm mvdan/sh#1384 — js/wasm support: abstract the runner's stdin behind an interface, and fall back to
/whenGetwdis unavailable
Held, with reasons
interp: os.SameFile shim for TinyGo (samefile_os.go, samefile_tinygo.go) — a workaround for a function TinyGo does not provide, rather than something js/wasm itself needs. Carrying a TinyGo build tag is the sort of thing upstream may reasonably not want, so instead of filing it blind it is offered in the mvdan#1384 description; if the answer is yes it goes as its own PR.
Module rename to github.com/0magnet/sh/v3 — fork-only by definition, not proposable.
Notes
The commits in mvdan#1384 were reworked before filing rather than sent as-is: the new files carried a Copyright (c) 2026, 0magnet fork authors header, replaced with the project's own, and the two commits were reordered so that header change belongs to the commit creating the files.
