Arbitrary Language Injections

I've seen that there was a recent PR that was trying to solve this issue, but was closed as it isn't possible through the method neovim was using, I think it is worth at-least having an open issue about the situation for further reference and discoverability.

I'm familiar with rust, but have no experience with treesitters or pretty much anything to do with how zed works, but I'd be happy to give it a shot if someone has a direction to start me off with.

@ratorx @DaRacci Could you guys perhaps explain more what the problem is why this doesn't work? It seems from the documentation of tree sitter that this kind of thing is a standard use case of tree sitter and should always be possible?

If it isn't, that looks to me like it should be a bug report in the tree sitter repo. I would be happy to help file that if I can understand the problem.

I think this is just something that needs to be implemented by nix-community/tree-sitter-nix where a comment, if present, preceding the quoted string is captured as maybelanguage or some such.

  xdg.configFile."fish/whatever.fish".text = 
    # fish
    ''
      function ...
    '';

Other language's tree-sitters do something similar for Heredoc:

Or Markdown code block languages:
