Hey!

First of all, I would like to say that Wingrooves is awesome! I just had a couple issues new ideas when using the program.

Issues:

  1. I use my laptop's media controls for the most part, but I use the for the Hide/Show option. I just use to know what music is playing or to see what songs I want to listen to next, etc. It works for the most part, but after a short while, the wingrooves app doesn't seem to be appearing in front of the concentrated screen. It might be a small problem, but I don't know why it happens.
  2. Also, I shortened my screen to make it look like a player (shows the top bar, albums, and the music controls). I put it on the bottom right corner of the screen (above the taskbar). When I exit and restart Wingrooves, it doesn't save the same size, and it is slightly bigger. Also the right end of the programs bleeds out of screen. Its not to big of a problem, I just need to resize, and drag it back into the corner, but if there's a quick fix to this, it would be greatly appreciated.
  3. So I set my grooveshark.com setting to remember the last played playlist when I come back, but it doesn't seem to work on this program. It's not too big of a problem, but It comes in handy when I want to open your program, and press play to just start listening to my music.

New ideas:

  1. I feel like there should be a shortcut button to control the volume of the actual player. This comes particularly handy when I play games or skype with the music on. Sometimes I need to adjust the music when its too loud and I have to alt-tab.
  2. When you hover your mouse over the minimized version, it does have the media buttons, but would it be possible to have the current song playing instead of the view of the program? It seems kinda useless to have the screen of of the list of music.. since we cant read it.
  3. And lastly, I feel like embedding this program with google chrome/Firefox will be a great idea. Maybe with that, we can incorporate the chrome-extensions and Firefox addons to the already awesome program and ultimately save you some time not coding since some of the features of the addons may fulfill the user's satisfactions.

All in all, I'm happy, you spent the time to make this. I would love to help, but I'm a coding nub and will just prolong anything from happening. Thanks for reading this!

-Cheers!

Thanks, Stevoo. Those are some great ideas. It may be a while before I can
work on any of them so hopefully someone else with some C# skills can help
out.

Hello and thank you for your work.

I like this idea "I feel like there should be a shortcut button to control the volume of the actual player" and try to compilate your application on my computer for work on it. But I have a problem with namespace "mhstlm" and "WindowsAPICodePack".

Sorry for my english level but i'm french :s.

Hi,

The WindowsAPICodePack was added by Tiago Morais to add Windows 7 taskbar
buttons. The files are included in the WindowsAPICodePack so I'm not sure
why you wouldn't be able to compile. Maybe you need to manually add a
reference to those files?

No problem, I just left the issue here, hopefully thinking some good Samaritan might have the same problem and code it for you :D
These are just small concerns, so it wont have a big impact when using it. Thanks again for reading this!
