As a heads up, we are shipping new javascript loading restrictions in Firefox in 2007588 which will be in Firefox 149
These restrictions have already been enabled in Nightly for a very long time (years?) - so if you're using Nightly, they won't be affecting you. But now will be rolling out to the Firefox Release version for the first time. We've done a lot of work to try to detect user hacks to Firefox and automatically disable these security measures (which is one of the reasons we don't really recommend doing them) but those detections aren't foolproof.
If your whatever stops working in Firefox 149, try flipping security.allow_parent_unrestricted_js_loads and see if that fixes it. Obviously we don't recommend this.
