Is there an alternative, better maintained XUL addon and userjs loader around?

Seems like this project is dormant for the time being, maybe for good. Would be nice if there was an alternative to rely on.

If considering only user js loader then aminomancer's seems to be an interesting choice. However I don't know if it supports XUL or legacy addons.

And, of course, scripts (and addons?) from this repo would have to be modified to work with the chosen alternative loader.

Aminomancer uses someone else's loader doesn't he?

Since the updated scripts from the issue with many posts here did not work for me, I used this guy's version of it and it seems to work (I only use a mousegesture JS): https://github.com/AlexVallat/firefox-scripts

You didn't try any other script/addon?

It is not intended to be an independent or divergent fork, just somewhere I can combine and put all the fixes others have contributed as comments to issues in this repo. It aims to keep at least my own extension (BackTrack Tab History) and scripts (autoPlainTextLinks, contextToSearch) loading, but the fixes to the loading system are general purpose.

The community, such as it is, remains in this repo.
