I have personally tested it on my Tuya IR+RF blaster, and it worked like a charm also I noticed this comment #152 (comment),
bchevreau tested it and made a youtube video about that.

The video in the mentioned comment is "broadlink remote" not "tuya remote" now if you confirmed that the RF works with the RF support branch I'll do more tweaks into it then merge it because

I made that branch and I don't have RF remote to test on so I leave it.

I would be willing to test this! I have some generic Tuya RF/IR blasters here. I have tested the latest localtuya version, 2024.7.0, it works great with IR, but it appears that it can not learn RF.

I have no idea how github works, how do I acquire the code to test RF?

I just had a couple minutes to test the remote.py, unfortunately it is the same response as before. Using ACTIONS in HA, the LED lights up as if were ready to Learn, but after 30 seconds it times out. I tried several times, no luck. I can send logs tomorrow if it would help.

Hello, sorry for the delay in testing. I've had a few busy days at work, but now I'm on vacation.

I just tested it, and the learning process worked for me; however, sending the command is not working.

I updated the rf_supported branch once again, I think now it should fix learn/send command feel free to test it.

I have tested the new branch. Slightly different results this time. I am using HA / Developer Tools / Actions / rf. When I press "PERFORM ACTION" it immediately changes to a green checkmark button, then 1 second later it changes back to "PERFORM ACTION". I had not yet pressed any button on the remote. The notification "Learn Command" popup appears as usual. Eventually it times out with a "Failed to perform the action remote.learn_command. Failed to learn: test" message. So unlike learning a IR remote, it seems to not notice when I press the RF remote. I tried multiple button presses and also a single long press. No difference.

I checked my localtuya_remotes_codes file and discovered it had deleted all previous entries in there for my IR remote and left this:

This seems unusual because the "on" should be the actual rf code, but instead it's just the word "on".

Lastly, I got this popup message from HA:

Storage corruption detected for localtuya_remotes_codes

This could be my fault due to me looking at that file earlier. I will investigate further. And eventually I'll get you some logs too.

I'll see what causes syntax error. I tested on my RF there were no issues so I'll double check.

I'm having the same problem, and only occurs when the sending a RF command, IR codes still works.

I updated the branch I set the default freq to 433.92 tested on my curtain it worked, You can give it a shot.

you can use master branch and copy "remote.py" directly to your local remote.py and don't forgot to restart HA.

I'm not seeing any different results with the latest version. I did forgot to mention before that the LED does light up when it's ready to learn a code, and goes off after the timeout period. But still, it doesn't learn anything.

I think it's worth mentioning again that I'm still getting this in my localtuya_remotes_codes:

The word "on" should not be the word "on" here, it is supposed to be the full remote code.

Out of curious -
When you learn via Tuya app what MHZ freq you use?
Have you tried to unplug/plug the power of remote?

Was previously using a IR/RF device in my test HA environment. This morning I tested an identical device using my home HA network and run the same test. Identical result - Learn ok, Send fails. Tested a different brand Tuya IR/RF device, same results. I'm starting to think it's something else configured wrong on my system.

I tried Send with Repeats x 30. No difference.

I have searched for other RF devices to test, but the others use rolling codes / frequencies, so I am stuck with testing just this one RF device - a ceiling fan remote. I do have five of these fans in the house, and each fan has it's own unique remote. I have tested the other remotes - same results :(

When running the Learn command in the Tuya app, the remote RF frequency changes each press, ranging from 433.24 up to 433.66, but mostly between 433.24 ~ 433.35

I'm happy to try more tests or send you more logs if you need it.

EDIT: Had a temporary glitch with Tuya Scene support, a force-kill of the Tuya iphone app fixed it - not related to localtuya but I thought for a moment it might be affecting it. It wasn't.

I still have not made any progress getting RF to Send on my devices.

I dunno, but I'm willing to bet the issue is something still undiscovered on my end. Since everyone in this thread is reporting it's working now, maybe the branch needs wider testing.

One more update. Today I created a new Tuya Account, added only the IR-RF devices to that account. Created a fresh HA testing server. Added these devices via Tuya integration first and tested them with the scene workaround. Works fine. Added them to localtuya (with the latest remote.py). I can Remote:Learn new RF codes and confirmed they are in the localtuya_remotes_codes file. Unfortunately they still will not Send the codes out, even through the LED on the device goes on while Sending. So, basically no different results than I had before using my live HA server.

I don't know if there's a deference between our RF remote and yours but you can use cloud to debug the device from Tuya APP try learn/sending commands "use freq 433.92" If send success from cloud update the logs of the device and see what payload your device is sending.

I am unclear how to get a payload message which looks your example. Here's what I did - I enabled debugging for the device and the integration, then using the Tuya app I turned on the fan (emulating the remote). Here's what I got:
