url with included password no longer working - error url redirected you too many times

V 2.4 of the plugin seems to prevent url with included password from opening site. Generates error “url redirected you too many times” This was possible with V 2.3 Is there a workaround?

I found a solution. Try with a url like this. I confirmed with version 2.4.
https://example.com/?password_protected_pwd=password&redirect_to=https://example.com/
