The P–E–C Principle stands for Polynomial-time Reading, Exponential-time Thinking, and Constant-time Output.
It’s a cognitive-efficiency model for research learning:

P (Polynomial-time Reading): Read efficiently with controlled complexity, understanding the structure and key logic of the paper without spending unlimited time.

E (Exponential-time Thinking): Think deeply and freely, expanding ideas, explore connections, and generate new insights.

C (Constant-time Output): Compress your understanding into concise, structured notes that capture the essence of your thinking.

In short: bounded reading, unbounded thinking, efficient output.

About This Template

This note template is designed according to the P–E–C Principle.
It supports deep reading and structured reflection for academic papers, ideal for researchers who aim to:
