What does it mean to map `-webkit-box-orient` to `flex-direction`?

What is the issue with the Compatibility Standard?

This is a "property mapping", but it doesn't appear to be specified anywhere what that means. -webkit-box-orient and flex-direction do not have any keywords in common, so it's unclear how you would convert one to the other.

(As a side note, do we really need these as a mandatory thing? The only sites I've come across that use these -webkit- properties also have the modern ones specified.)

-webkit-box-* in general is mostly used to kick -webkit-line-clamp into doing anything; that said, Chrome's telemetry still puts its usage without -webkit-line-clamp at around 9%.

Really someone needs to actually define how the legacy flexbox stuff actually works; see also #87 and w3c/csswg-drafts#1946.

Thanks. The telemetry thing is difficult because if sites use it as a backup alongside flex-direction (like in the good old "vendor prefix everything" days) then it'll show up as used even though it's not needed for the site to work correctly.
