Debate may be the wrong word

On reflection, I think we could have used a better word than debate for "healthy community and debate." Debate has a negative connotation and is often associated with the idea of winning arguments rather than coming to an understanding. I wonder if we should change it to "healthy community and discourse" or something similar.

"Discussion" might be simpler than discourse, but I agree with your core point.

Also, to better link the "healthy community" with "debate/discourse/discussion", maybe something like "The web supports exchanging/distributing ideas that contribute to a healthy community" ?
