Syncthing complains about running as admin user

Right now the process runs as root (so don't have to worry about permissions) but that makes syncthing sad and should be fixed

I have installed Syncthing on my Drobo 5N2, and I get this warning when I go into the GUI:

Syncthing should not run as a privileged or system user. Please consider using a normal user account.

I have SSHed into my Drobo to poke around on the file system. I can not find the configuration files as described by Syncthing's documentation. How do I update the configuration so that Syncthing is not running as root? I assume as part of this change, I'll have to change the owner of some files created by Syncthing's install and/or during it's normal operation.

I've since moved to synology so haven't looked at this in a while. All drobo apps install to... umm... wherever all your shared folders are but there's another folder called DroboApps. In there you'll find syncthing and then inside there the data folder is set to var which is where all the configs are. While in here take note of the service.sh file as this is what's used to start and stop syncthing. Likely once you create a user you would pass it as an option to [start-stop-daemon}(https://github.com/vrillusions/droboapp-syncthing/blob/master/src/dest/service.sh#L33-L38) command and then of course ensure all files inside the syncthing folder are owned by them.

There's another place that droboapps write to which is in this case /tmp/DroboApps/syncthing That's where "expendable data" goes like recording the process id and log files and such. So those would also need to be owned by whatever user you create. Hopefully all this info helps
