Many thanks man! I converted it to beer in the sun ☀️! I won't argue with you on the voltage tolerance, there is plenty of that on other sites. If it works it works and worst case you loose an ESP for a few $. I leave it to the reader to decide for now. Again thx for your support and sharing your knowledge! |

Hey @raomin can you give a little more detail on this setup? I'm struggling to get my original pcb to work so wondering about giving this a go. Can I use the ESP8266 or do I need to buy a wemo? |

I use a wemos d1 mini but any other esp8266 should work. |

You can most certainly replace the Wemos D1 mini with a lolin or any other esp8266. |

Morning, Congrats on getting this working. I was directed here to try your layout. |

It would make your life easier to define pcb_v2 and use that pinout. No crossing wires on the nodeMCU. They use a mini with a different layout. |

Want to try this as well I have the s100101 pump model. From the instructions I assume I just change the model to the miami2021 since it seems to have the same features as the cancun which I have. Since using the wemos d1 im not sure if its necessary to specify the board type as it doesnt seem to be mentioned anywhere. (Basing of the pdf instructions). This seems like the easiest option with the wemos d1 and the jst-sm 6 pin connector. Everything else seems clear to me apart from the changes needed to be made in VScode |

Hi, also at my place it seems to work with a "direct" Wemos mini. Pump S100101 Ibiza |

I've followed the various folks in here but am having issues. I have an Ibiza with pump S100105. When turning on, I get the jingle, the ESP boots up, I can access the WebUI, but nothing works on the WebUI for changing anything on the pump. The buttons on the pump do not work as well. I've checked continuity between the pins/connectors so that's all good. I'm at a loss right now of what else to check. Does anyone have any ideas? |

It is working with Wemos D1 mini for a Tahiti with S100101 Pump. I could use the newest code and modified the values on the web accordingly. |

Hi, I've got a 54186 eggpump and a D1 mini. I've been seweral rounds error testing and resolved some of my initial issues, but now I'm stuck. I've got success on all pins on hwtest, I also get sound (low volume due to 3 volt) when pressing: clock, power, up/down. There is no light in display, there is no response on pump when pressing. I have to admit I did not check webUI for response from pressing buttons, but the sound was clear it was conected to the button presses (different sounds on different buttons) There was no response when pressing: lock, c/f, bubbles, heating and pump (filter) Any tips for what to check further? BTW I may or may not have soilder the connectors backwards first, so maybe a possibility that it's have been fryed 🙈 |

I have an odd situation Im not quite able to figure out. I have connected everything correctly according to the schematics above, but hwtest (slightly modified to ensure it loads the correct gpio pins) still fails when shorting the two connectors:
The odd thing is that 0 => 14 always show 500 errors. It makes me believe there is something that I need to do with the d1 mini. Some kind of fuse or flag? |

Hi All, I bought a spa about 2 weeks ago and was pretty much straight away annoyed but the lack of config options. So I googled and came across this project a couple of days ago. I had a D1_mini at home and flashed it. So far everything looks good, just waiting for the JST connectors to arrive so I can install it. In the meantime, I saw that people have successfully integrated with the Model S100101 and S100105. Mine is S100103. Does anyone have the same model and can share his experience? Thanks in advance and thanks to the creator. This is awesome. |

Having trouble here. I'm using a nodemcu esp266. I've wired it as per and used the same pin configuration but I just get e02 on startup. What could be causing this? |

Has anyone seen it where when you select "bubbles" or "pump" or any of the options it "checks" the box and then "unchecks". I'm setting it up for the first time and when I select the options nothing happens on the pump. |

Hi everyone, as i am trying to convert my 2021 haway hydrojet into a smart-pool, i need some assistance. The issue: when i connect the wemos to the pump, i can connect to it via web interface. The display works and all the buttons make sounds when i press them. also adjusting the display brightness works from the webinterface. However, nothing else works. I cant control the pump via the webinterface or via the buttons on the pump. Hardware test does not show any errors, soldering points all are good. I guess i do have an issue with the connection to the pump, but for the love of god, i cant figure out whats wrong. already tried different pin configurations towards CIO with no success. Can someone give me a hint? |

First, kudos to @visualapproach, amazing work, really. Well deserved coffee (and beers!) on its way!
I've been connecting ESPs with 5V devices for quite some times now and came to the conclusion that ESP are 5V tolerant (at least in my experience). It has been confirmed elsewhere.
Likewise many 5v circuits are 3.3v compatible.
My Lay-z S100101 is no exception. I uploaded on a wemos D1 mini, hooked both ends, shared the 5v and GND, and voila, I even got the beeper music to celebrate :) Everything works flawlessly and was ready in minutes!
My test setting:
Thanks again for this project!
