Trackpad drift when lid is down

Sometimes my cursor drifts when the lid is down. I suppose it is caused by the trackpad not being "asleep".
Did anyone face this?

That's a problem on my T480 too, did you managed to fix it?

@marcoslor not sure if you are still on the t480, but enabling SMBUS mode for the touchpad with voodooRMI makes it respond to gestures much better and fixed that drifting issue when the lid is down
