PHP Valkey client?

Hello there! 👋

Just a quick question, as I’m pretty confused right now:
I saw there are clients for Go and Nodejs in the Valkey organization already.
I wonder why? Can’t we just boot up valkey to the port we used redis before and reuse the clients we already use in our projects?
I thought API wise Valkey should work as drop in replacement for Redis?
In case we can’t or shouldn’t reuse our currently used clients: Why an what are the plans about PHP clients?
