Samba share browsing not generating thumbnails #70

I am using linux mint 21 cinnamon
When I browse the local file system, it generates and shows thumbnails for stl files.
When I browse a smb share, it does not.
I have activated thumbnails on ALL, not just LOCAL files in both Nautilus and Nemo preferences, to no avail.

Attached below is a screenshot. Local view on the left, identical files structure directory on the network on right.

Any help would be appreciated.
