Under MEDICAL we have OTHER then MEDICAL ALARM for an incident type of That said - I like where you are going with this. One of the current challenges with alarm source is the consistency/accuracy at which that is captured/reported and how often these require a response. There is work being done in the larger NG911 space to standardize the necessary data elements for these systems which we are closing following for inclusion into a future version of the schema. |

Reviewing the list of alarms or possible notification systems, I believe the category of medical alarms is absent and should be included.
Whether it be a worn pendant; base station medical alarm in the home
Or fall detection systems from wearables
Or accident detection systems from phones, wearables, or in-car systems
These are all methods that may be in place and activated to summon an response.
Shouldn't they be tracked and reported as a part of risk reduction? Conversely, our system initially had all "iphone accident detection" events prompt a Fire & PD response. But after a period of time, they reduced it to be a PD-only lower priority alarm event because of the frequency of "nothing found" resultants.
