Feature suggestion: Setting a preferred session per user

I use Niri, but my friend uses KDE on the same PC.
But most times we forget to change the session when switching users. So we need to log out, select the correct session and log in again.

Would it be possible to set a preferred session per user?

This means that when selecting a user it would also change the session to the users preferred session (But still be able to manually select a session that is not preferred)

Suggestion for the UX:

Either having a button (Like a star icon) next to the session selector that when pressed sets the selected session as the preferred one.
If already on the preferred session the button could deselect the current session as the preferred (like disabling preferred sessions for that user).

If a button is too visual, it could also be in a right click menu.

I'm open to try implementing it myself if you are open to the feature.
But I don't have any QML experience, so any pointing in the right direction would be appreciated.

It is possible to implement exactly what you described using LocalStorage, however, I think this should be set exclusively from the config files; that would make it less accessible and harder to enable by accident. I don't like when my UIs do something I haven't explicitly told 'em to.
