Version without JavaScript possible? #9
Comments
I suppose that it is possible but it would require (a lot of) work. I remember that I looked for a lightweight serverside solution but the most easy and lightweight solution was the one with the JavaScript, all serverside solutions where pretty heavyweight and i wanted to avoid that. |
Ah. Okay. I understand. So I stay with a redirect to Qwant. |
For now, yes. Do you want to avoid javascript for a certain reason? Because the current search plugin does not rely on external services, nor has it any privacy implications, everything is on your own hoster. Or is it the integration into the theme that you dislike (did not test it)? |
There as some reasons: There are people which disable JavaScript for security reasons, I like to have a website as plain and slick as possible and there's no Url for specific search results. But maybe I've to reconsider this topic, as using Qwant is also not optimal. The integration into the theme is not the problem, although I would modify it completely to a more compact way. |
My website doesn't use any JavaScript at the moment, and it would be great if I can add a search function that works completely on the server.
