Desired Behavior

Add a tooltip with the node name on node icon hover in the workflow side panel

Original issue

once a user edits the title of an action, it is no longer possible to know which action was selected - which is confusing for ex for update vs create. It prevents other users from collaborating on this workflow and will be painful for the workflow creator when going back at it in a few weeks / months.

Idea: Replace "Action" by the true action "Update Record", "Create Record"

I think we should put this in the side panel "Options" menu (reset name) to avoid introducing complex logic as we don't want to duplicate the node type in the header & sub-header.

FYI, n8n doesn’t allow you to reset a node’s default name

What is the solution for a user to know which action was selected then? It is crucial for the person who built the workflow or a colleague who would like to take over the workflow management.
As of today, I was not able to migrate some customers for ex bc I could not chose the action they had selected

"FYI, n8n doesn’t allow you to reset a node’s default name" the ask is not to reset the name
Ideally we let the custom name that was set (for a good reason) but just give visibility to the user on the type of action
