Yes, install.sh does update for you. If it has been days or week since you downloaded install.sh it is good idea to download it again as I update it from time to time, so do

curl -fsSL https://github.com/tphakala/birdnet-go/raw/main/install.sh -o install.sh
bash ./install.sh

And installer should detect that you have existing install and offer an update process
