How to update?

What's the best way to update to the latest build? Just run install.sh again? I'm running on a raspberry pi zero 2 w.

Yes, install.sh does update for you. If it has been days or week since you downloaded install.sh it is good idea to download it again as I update it from time to time, so do

curl -fsSL https://github.com/tphakala/birdnet-go/raw/main/install.sh -o install.sh
bash ./install.sh

And installer should detect that you have existing install and offer an update process

After running the update I no longer have any audio sources available.

I use a USB capture device.

Reboot did not help.

I had to do a clean install to correct this, as it re-prompted me for audio source (but lost my history in the process).

That seems a bit extreme, but it is nice to know it is not just me.

So I bit the bullet and did a new install. Now it fails to run.

OK thanks, this shows why it is failing. I recently added british english species file and with this en locale was renamed to en-us and en-uk was added, en should still work but seems that it is not. Please edit config.yaml and change en to en-us or en-uk depending on which you want.

Did you download new install.sh with curl or did you just rerun bash ./install.sh using existing install.sh on your system?
