I have been wondering if adding support for ARM architectures would be possible (mostly for raspberry pi)

Unfortunately there's no separate insync package in raspbian.
I found this: https://help.insynchq.com/en/articles/112904-linux-insync-on-raspberry-pi

armhf and armel arhives are provided.
