Support for jitsi installations with AWT authentication missing

Hello!
We have our jitsi installation deployed on the internet, and to limit anyone from being able to create meetings and very easily take down the system we have made it so that if you connect to the meeting you need to have credentials.
We are using mattermost to generate tokens from the authentication for anyone to connect to a meeting who has the long link with the time-limited token.
Is there any way to generate this token with the outlook jitsi plugin as well? What do you recommend?
