Hoping to make a Reach centric TWIT with some action items:

  • Overview of the project
  • How to get involved
  • "Starter bugs" (maybe two technical, one documentation worthy)

Additional items we should cover:

  • Sparkfun released a $4 Tessel module adapter for their QWIC system; what is it and how can you use it?
  • RailsGirls Summer of Code is starting and we should introduce our two volunteers!
  • If we're ready, we can write up a blurb on Node 6 LTS support on Tessel (and the work involved to get here)

RGSoC: They're working on an introductory blog post (#58), but here is a quick blurb for the TWIT:

We're very excited to have a Rails Girls Summer of Code team this summer! This is a program intended to introduce new programmers (despite the name, not just in Rails) to open source projects. They spend the summer as full-time contributors, with mentorship from the project, funding from a sponsor, and coaching from volunteers around the world. If you see Brihi and Shravika around the repos, say hello!

Re Node 6 blurb, good idea to have it in the TWIT; any interest in making it its own whole blog post? (cc @rwaldron @HipsterBrown)

@Frijol I'm currently working on a Node 6 support announcement as a blog post. 😄
