I've developed an advanced system called Markups (https://markups.vercel.app/),
which is built upon your markdown-live-preview project.
I've taken the core concepts and expanded them into a more comprehensive platform.

I'll jump on this bug right away and have it fixed by today.

Beyond this issue, have you run into any other problems? I’m also curious—are you using Markups on a regular basis? I’d love to know if the project is actually proving useful for your work.

I’m currently deciding whether to keep expanding this project further, so your feedback is super valuable. Do you think I should keep working on this and adding more features?

Issues

• Minor issue? You can just copy and paste the emoji so there's not much point in adding it, but you can if you want.
• I like how I'm able to insert pictures from my device and have it show in the preview. However, the picture itself uses up too much text in the Write section. If it were too shorten to maybe just the file path of the picture, this feature would be great!
• Scroll Sync is on by default, but it doesn't work then. You need to turn it on and off for it to work.
• Clicking the Search button & using it to search in Write mode doesn't work.
• Selecting to Export PDF & HTML just using the starting Write text doesn't display Preview properly.

I'm not a coder by any means but I make & edit Github guides a lot. Anytime I'm making Github guides using Markdown, I'm always using Markdown Live Preview. I don't like how you swap back and forth from text to preview on Github. The time spent swapping adds up. The text used for Markdown can be eye sores, examples include making tables, then having those tables having additional tags or links within them. The preview especially help in those cases.

As for features specifically in Markups, you added a lot of quality of life improvements! I won't name them all, at least in this reply. I could if you want me too but a lot of them speak for themselves & well, you made it, so you would know already lol.

Quality of Life Improvements

• Make tables with a click of button (this one helps a lot, I dislike having to look for a copy & pasteable empty table or store one in my device)
• Style text with a click of button
• Can change into Write, Split, Preview modes
• Option for full screen
• Navigation bar for headings that lets you easily jump through Preview display
• Light Mode! & being able to swap to Dark Mode.
• Easily swap between on/off Sync Scroll
• Export
• Many others I'm sure coders would point out

Now that Markups exists, I will be an avid user of that instead. I did tell some people about it, they may use it. Even if they don't, I'm sure many others will & it will catch on. What exists is already excellent but I'd really appreciate if you were to continue to work on it. If there are other issues or suggestions I encounter, I'll let you know either here or in the issues section, if you're adding one. Whatever you prefer.

First of all, thank you so much! I’m honestly blown away by the effort you put into this feedback. It takes a lot of time to test features so carefully, and I truly appreciate you helping me make Markups better. It’s very motivating to hear that it's helping you with your GitHub guides!

I have some great news—I’ve just pushed an update that fixes every single issue you mentioned:

Image Paths: The text in the 'Write' section is now shortened to just the file path, so it doesn't clutter your space.

Scroll Sync: This bug is fixed and should now work consistently from the start.

Search & Export: Both the Search button and the PDF/HTML Export preview logic have been corrected.

Mobile Optimization: I’ve also improved the mobile experience, so it should be much smoother to use on your phone now.

Also, as you suggested, I have officially enabled the Issues section on the main repository. Please feel free to drop any future bugs or feature ideas there—no matter how small they are, I'm excited to keep adding to this project!

⚠️ One important note: Since Markups is "offline-first," you will need to clear your browser cookies/cache to see these new updates. Otherwise, the old version might still be cached in your browser.
