While reading the documents,I find countless \KaTeX errors saying "undefined control sequence". I wonder if you could tell me what reader and which version you are using.Thanks!

It is better to check the docs from web browsers. If you want, you can find the rendering dependencies in the HTML source.

Specifically, the website is using mathjax.

This is my first time reading other's markdown document.

the final product is HTML instead of markdown

in this project, the backend for rendering markdown to HTML is mkdocs. If you are interested, you can check more details in the mkdocs documentation, e.g.
