Homebox Version

0.24.2

What is the issue you are experiencing?

I am using homebox to track the contents of boxes getting stored in a shipping container. I have pre-printed my barcodes and they have been stuck on empty boxes. When I am packing a box, all I want to do is scan the barcode to attached it to the packed box so I am using the scanner feature. However when i scan a new barcode, I get an "Asset not found" error. Perhaps I am using the application incorrectly? Would prefer to not have to go back and edit the box after I create the item to update the asset id.

How can the maintainer reproduce the issue?

Create an item and try to attach an existing barcode to the new item.
