Thanks for the request! "Start automatically" can mean a few different things, and the implementation differs quite a bit depending on your setup, so a couple of clarifying questions:

1. How are you running purplemux?

   • The desktop app (Electron), or
   • The server (pnpm start / CLI on port 8022)?

2. Which OS? (macOS / Linux / Windows)

3. By "start automatically globally", do you mean launch on login/boot (i.e. it starts by itself when you turn on/log into your machine)?

For the desktop app this is straightforward (launch-at-login). For the server it would mean registering an OS service (launchd / systemd / Task Scheduler), which is more involved. Knowing your environment will help us scope this correctly. Thanks!

What I really wanted to ask was whether it's possible to set it to start automatically on boot, but without seeing its icon in the dock.
