Reference distance value always jumping back to 4

Whenever I try to edit the reference distance, it always jumps back to 4, no matter what configurations I try.

Not sure if this is a bug or a misunderstanding on my part, please advise.

@ikbensiep Do you happen to be hitting the tab key instead of Enter? I noticed on my end (using modified source code so not supertrustworthy in this case) that hitting Tab makes it change back to any value I previously acknowledged with Enter, whether that is 4 or something else.

Also, typically, perspective lines like this work on the basis of converging somewhere in the distance. The X-axis appears to almost not do this at all while also appearing to not use a solid line to follow but choosing a random line vertically across the alley.

Two examples of how I trace typically (and I tend to almost solely use XY, XZ or YZ, 3 axis is impossible in most cases).

Worthy of note: I have measured sensor-center-to-floor-distance when taking tracing pictures.
The position of the point of origin typically aligns along the X axis of the building traced. The point of origin itself is placed near the point where sensor-center-to-floor-distance hits around 157 cm's which is about the height having the camera up to my eye and standing straight. This is to keep sizes accurate since I can not always reliably set nor use the reference distance.
