Pause on manual mute

Thanks for this little tool.. it immediately replaced random scripts written a long time ago...
Just one addition that would be useful:
If I manually mute the microphone (because I need to talk to someone in the room with me) it is automatically reactivated by hushboard..
would it be possible to automatically pause/unpause hushboard when muting manually the microphone? For instance by reading the keypress XF86XK_AudioMicMute?

Came here to report the same issue I think. I'd have phrased it thus:

"When stopping to type, restore mic mute states to what they were before starting to type, not always to unmuted."

I have multiple microphones attached to my laptop, most notably a webcam, and keep all but one mic muted most of the time. I'd like hushboard to preserve that state when I stop typing, not immediately open all the mics.

Also I think #14 and this one might be the same, and both should be addressed by #7 ? Not sure I'm reading this correctly...
