The Strands Agents Python SDK is now Generally Available with the v.1.0.0 release.

Strands Agents now includes:

✅ Support for four new multi-agent patterns: Handoffs, Swarms, Graphs, and Agents-as-Tools
✅ Session Persistence
✅ Support for the Agent-to-Agent (A2A) protocol
✅ Support for additional model provider APIs contributed by partners like Anthropic, Meta, OpenAI, Cohere, Mistral AI, Stability AI, and WRITER
