Hello,

i am trying to use the Rest API but i am not suceed the get the request authenticat

I tried use on the header STEVE-API-KEY and basic auth but always getting 401

Can someone help me?

created new web-user with password, but API calls always throw: 401,"error":"Unauthorized","message":"The user does not exist, exists but is disabled or has API access disabled."

the database entry/value should be the HASHED password.

the value you use in HTTP API call should be the PLAIN TEXT value of the password, not the hash of it.

OK, thanks for all your help, this is sorted out now. API is working. Now I am looking for an endpoint to start/stop a charging transaction via API, and change charge profile via API. Is there such a feature ?

Thank you, I can remotely start/stop a charging transaction via API. What I would be REALLY interested in, is to be able to change the charging profile via API (or any other way if possible). I can do this from the SteVe web UI, works perfect, wish to do it via API now.

Database version 1.1.1.

I get 404 - not found on all Rest APIS. is there anywhere i have to enable them first?

@JustBen81 check in main.properties http=true and set the port on which server is running file which is in src/main/resource/config/prod.

I'm using the application-prod.properties.
it has these settings (among others):

Jetty HTTP configuration

http.enabled = true
http.port = 8080

and

webapi.key = STEVE-API-KEY
webapi.value =

What do i set as a webapi.value? a key?
I can reach the webui and swagger. but none of the apis is reachable.

edit: solved the 404 - swagger UI gives me the wrong url (missing "/steve/"
but no matter what i do I get either empty responses or this:

I solved my problems:

The first one was that Swagger-UI omits the /steve/ in the url I think the part of of the path can be disabled in the application-prod.properties context.path = steve but its set as a default for backward compatiblity.

The second problem was that i stored my api-password in db as an SHA256 hash and steve expects it to be a bcrypt hash.

@JustBen81 when i did i set webapi.value as 123 and i exposed services through rest api for Remote start and stop if u want u can check my github . But now ig steve released new version with all API while calling also you need to send webapi.value and key in header and in auth give basic auth and try.
