Error in Spree 4.10 on Rails 7.1

I have been updating a Spree 3.7 site to 4.10.1 and started running into this issue and before I had some issues with it depending on the V1 API. Other than an article from August 2024, I am not seeing a lot of activity here.

So let's start. Is this an issue to be fixed? Or is there a more modern implementation for Braintree and Paypal Express?

This extension is on the list for Spree 5 release, however, we don't have the bandwidth now to fix it.

If you want to speed things up, please submit patches/pull requests so we can merge them and fix this issue. Thanks!
