Hi! 👋 my name is Theo, iTheo(.tech), I have been a programmer all my life and a sustainability advocate for several years now, from the small village of Nisse in Zeeland, the Netherlands. My journey with technology started at age 7 with a Commodore 64, and it's been an exciting ride ever since.

Nowadays, I am passionate about using smart technical solutions to help everyone live a more sustainable life. I work and help everyone make their home and/or office more sustainable in order not only to save energy but also to save the environment. My main concern is that it should be as simple as possible and that we should say goodbye to repetitive manual tasks. That's why I like to create scripts with python for Home Assistant and Shelly devices (with javascript); they automate the mundane and let us focus on what's important.

One of my favorite projects is a script for the Shelly Plug S. It tracks current energy prices, allowing even the least tech-savvy among us (like my family) to make smarter decisions about when to use those energy-hungry appliances. It's simple, effective, and really saves money.
