Become a sponsor to David Gómez
Hi all! Although I've worked in other OSS projects in the past (PAWM, anyone old enough to remember it ;)?), my Github profile is mainly for one project: sakura.
I started this project around 2005 (wow!!), not being even sure of the start date... I'd need to search for the backups of the original subversion repository to know when I made the first commit. My goal at that time was to create a terminal emulator based on GTK but with few dependencies. There weren't too many terminals emulators 20+ years ago and now there are so many and with so much different features that I've lost count!! Happy to see the evolution over the years in the free software world and in particular in terminal emulators.
I'll be honest: programming is not my main occupation nowadays and I spend less and less time writing code. This is quite obvious if you look at the frequency of sakura releases😅 Anyway, I still (and will) maintain sakura fixing bugs and updating it to keep it up to date with new APIs and libraries.
If you're a new sakura user or just downloaded it recently, just ignore this page (or not, that's up to you) and keep using sakura. Enjoy it and send bug reports if you find any issues. When I decided to create this sponsor page, I was thinking more about users that have been using sakura for a long time and (maybe?) would be interested in supporting sakura. So, to sum up, if you've been using sakura for a long time and it has been useful, I'd like to ask you for any kind of sponsorship you'd like to give.
Thank you for using sakura!!
