The HardenedBSD Project is a soft fork of the FreeBSD operating system. HardenedBSD implements many distinct and novel exploit mitigations and security enhnacements.

The project's development and build infrastructure is accessible in unique ways. For example, all of HardenedBSD's build artifacts and package repositories are accessible via Tor Onion Service endpoints. A user can go from absolutely nothing to a working production system completely behind Tor.

The HardenedBSD Foundation, and the Project, work together to provide higher security guarantees in environments hostile to human life. We seek to use HardenedBSD to provide tangible responses to digital human rights violations globally.

All donations go directly to supporting the project's hardware and infrastructure support. The HardenedBSD Foundation is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization in the United States. Donations are eligible for tax deduction.
