App lags on flagship device. Its almost unusable.

I am using a premium device with 12 gigabytes of RAM that was released very recently. Every other app on my phone runs like lightning. This app is extremely laggy even in the most basic of things, such as using the search bar. I have noticed this on my S21 Ultra, Sony Xperia IV and my Huawei phone. There is no reason it should be like this on all 3 of my devices, and its to the point where I can't use the app comfortably.

It would be nice if you figured out why your GUI code is like this and fixed it, as your apps concept is amazing and I would like to use it :)

Could you try opening and closing the app from recents 3 times?

how laggy is the search bar? it being a little laggy (maybe 1 second) is expected.

It's over 1 second and I tried your suggestion, still persists. Do you have any idea why it does not behave like other apps? Look at the 2 videos for comparison. AppVerifier and then Yandex. Why can it not be like other search boxes. Yandex does everything instantly, all my apps. AppVerifier even fucked up the input and doubled some of the letters. It is crazy and makes me feel like I am going insane.

The GUI is indeed unoptimized. It gets worse the more apps you have installed.

The input being wonky is a Compose TextField bug that only happens with AOSP-based keyboards unfortunately. It might be exacerbated by the lag.

I see. Well at least I know why. Is there plans on refactoring this at some point?
