Oxygen 6: text fields has redundant newline characters at the start & end #3671

Text fields (Tested on Text and Heading) has newline characters on both ends.
Normal one-line text:
How it looks in the devtools:
The problem is it creates extra whitespaces when rendered. Appending text via ::after leads to extra spacing between the text:
