Unable to install on mac

Hi,

I get the following error when I try to npm install -g loopback-vuejs-generator

npm ERR! enoent ENOENT: no such file or directory, chmod '/Users/rameshn/.nvm/versions/node/v8.11.1/lib/node_modules/loopback-vuejs-generator/lib/index.js'

Do you have clue on what's my goof up ?
Note: I have installed NVM to toggle between older versions for other projects.
