Unable to grant location permission when setting automatic sunrise/sunset

I have Firefox 131.0.3 on Linux (NixOS). When I try to select "Automatic set sunrise/sunset", a red message appears next to it saying "Location permission needs to be granted." However, there is no pop-up or other mechanism to enable location permission. From "about:addons", I managed the extension and went to the permissions tab, and there is no ability to add the permission there either.

How do we add the location permission? Thank you!

Go to about:preferences, search for Location -> Settings... -> Disable "Block new requests asking to access your location".

Then go to the extension preferences and set "Automatic set sunrise/sunset": a pop-up asking permission will now appear.

You can re-enable the Firefox setting after doing this.
