Doesn't work when launched from termite/sterminal

The theme does not display and fonts do not load. Furthermore, I get an error message when invoking fontviewer -h:

I may be mislead but can it be there simpy is no -h flag with fontviewer?

plain fontviewer works for me at least (manjaro, built from AUR)
