Hi all!
I would like to process data in Aurora from the Metronix ADU. How can I do this?

Hi @gblsnogueira, thanks for raising this issue. Currently aurora is only set up to process data that is in MTH5 format. There is no plan to support any other data formats, so what I would recommend is to convert your Metronix ADU data to MTH5. Then you should be able to process any run of data or combination of runs in aurora.

I note that recently mth5 did add support for metronix data, although the file reader documentation does not yet list Metronix.

A few notes about this:

  • Metronx ADU have several models, and I believe that the data formats evolved over time, so when raising an issue on MTH5 please specify the make and model of your data acquisition system
  • Ideally you could share a small dataset that could be used for developing an integrated test for the reader
  • If you are interested in contributing readers, there are at least two open source packages with capability to read some Metronix files (resisitics and SigMT) which could possibly be leveraged to create a reader for MTH5 if you are interested in contributing.
  • You may also wish to post requests to export data to MTH5 on the issues pages of those packages.
