Carry a budget into the new year

Best practice: How do you handle it when you want to carry a budget into the new year?

For example, I have €30,000 in my account at the end of the year and, of course, I want to use this money as an available budget.
Do I simply enter €30,000 as income in January, or what is the best way to do it?

Hey! Since I first developed this for myself and then decided to make a general solution out of it, this is unfortunately not an explicit feature. But as you mentioned, right now adding a group/row in income covering additional income such as carry-over from the last year would be the solution.

However, since this seems to be rather easy to implement I'd consider this a feature and would make it part of the general settings that'll come with v1.9 and v1.10!

That would be truly fantastic! Basically, it would be great if the annual result, meaning the remaining net amount from the previous year, is included in the calculation or if there is an option to explicitly choose whether it should be included or not.

On the dashboard, the amount should ideally not just be added to the revenue but rather be labeled as additional funds, such as “Carryover from last year” or something similar. Otherwise, it distorts the overview since it’s not actually a real income.
