• It's always OK to change your mind, so we fixed a bug that caused the image picker to open after pasting an attachment into a chat and then deciding not to send it.

  • We told ourselves that we would never do this, that we wouldn't be like the other apps with their lazy release notes, but this update really does include "bug fixes and performance improvements."

  • This update improves the layout of media messages with quoted replies, and also fixes a visual gap that appeared between the search bar and your chat list when the "Reduce Transparency" iOS Accessibility setting was enabled.

  • If you've been patiently awaiting a better way to select pictures and videos in Signal, now your expectations aren't just realistic — they're photorealistic. This update includes support for the native iOS photo picker, so you can easily search for images and see a consistent view of available albums.
  • We also added a shortcut to scroll to the associated message when looking at an image or video in the All Media view for a chat.

  • Saint Patrick's Day was so last month, so we added a workaround for an iOS bug that occasionally causes a green square to appear after pasting an image.
  • We squashed another bug that prevented you from saving multiple images to your camera roll in messages that included an album.
  • And we also fixed a crash that could happen after trying to share a call link on your iPad, so you don't need to pick up your phone in order to make a new call.

  • We made it easier to select additional pictures when Limited Access photo permissions are enabled in iOS. The Manage button has been repositioned so that it's always visible, and updating your chosen selection is so fast that it's never a photo finish.
  • Now when you tap on a notification during a voice or video call, the call will automatically minimize to show the relevant chat without any extra steps. Save your extra steps (especially when they're taps) for tap dancing.
