Stickers, GIFs and Images are not being sent.

Bug description

When I try to send a sticker, a gif or an image it doesn't send it (not always, but quite often).
It gets stuck into infinite loading circle.

Normal text messages get sent without issues.

It doesn't happen in the selfchat (notes).

Update: even replying to a sticker/image/gif with only text will not send the message

You've fallen into a really weird corner case. You should hopefully be able to send messages in other chats but this one is wedged. Have you tried force closing the app from system settings and relaunching to see if anything clears up?

i think i experienced something similar except i was trying to send a link to a bluesky post and could only get it to send when it had an image preview. sending a text only message after the ones that werent sending (similar to what is demoed by the OP here) seemed to work (in my case i just removed the image preview)

could this be related to the graceful upgrade process from https://signal.org/blog/spqr/? or maybe the new cloud backup stuff?

even after force closing and restarting (which caused my ~4 attempts to send the link to go through) attempting to send the same link still doesnt work

I just tried to send an audio message and that doesnt seem to work either. interestingly, a voice message sent from Signal Desktop works fine (im using the version of signal desktop distributed through flatpak, so probably derived from an official build, but not technically officially supported)

Hiding my messages as off topic because i was on an older version of signal android (7.56.10). I just updated to 7.59.2 from the play store and im able to send all the media things I wasnt able to before

Yes I've tried that, nothing changed.
With the latest update 7.59.2 all my unsent stuff got sent in one wave

does this mean it is fixed? Having the the chat "blocked" is an heavy hit since that chat is my wife's

The same is happening to me. All symptoms described by @Minibus93 and @MoralCode apply to me, too. Only a single chat is affected while it works in others.

Force stopping didn't help, neither did restarting the entire device.

Works after updating to Signal 7.61.3.
Sorry for the noise, I missed that update.
