Many people in the research community have expressed a desire for SHARPpy to be able to generate "publication ready" plots for the research community. Now that matplotlib supports skewed axes transformations, this functionality should be able to be supported in a nice and easy way. The plan for right now would be to add a new folder, sharppy/plot. This would contain the necessary classes and functions that wrap around matplotlib in order to generate publication ready plots that are easily scriptable in batch, use an existing, well know framework, and does not require an X server. Implementation details will need to be worked out, but it serves as a big enough addition to constitute the next release after Beta V2.
