Script mode. Yes or No? And how?

Current agreements disallow writing code outside the main function. This could be disadvantage in short and simple script applications.

I've no problem with allowing script-like sources. From syntactic point of view, there is currently only module entry point. I can add script entry point which allows to write script-like sources. Then an application must decide which entry point it will be used.

Or alternatively it can be allowed write statements along declarations even in the module. But the question is what this code will do during module importing.

Swift language support both compiled and script mode. You can even compile script into executable. From syntactic point of view only expressions (in compiled source file) might be a problem. I'll try compile Swift file with expressions outside of function and see the behavior of those expressions.
