Send Email Alert

Hi,
Could you tell me how to check if Semaphore send an email for alert on the server ? I use journalctl -u semaphore -f but no message appear

You can see it in a task log.

Yes , "Test alert" but what do you mean by "task log" ?

If you run a task and it fails, you can see a log entry about the email being sent.

so I would like submit an error appear with this message time="2025-11-06T12:55:51Z" level=error msg="530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated" fields.level=Error . So when I use the same parameters semaphore with my python3 script test smtp it's ok , but not in the config file smaphore, because I have a password with format ex: "xxx xxxxx xxxx !" and I think this is the problem , what do you think ? about ?

Sorry it's my fault in the config json a mistake with my config "email_secure": true,
"email_tls": false, inverted in the config file with 587 parameters, thx for you support
