Is it just me or the flicker free dimming option is gone in the latest version #5644

that function is only designed for oled screens and ips screens don't get any benefit at all, okay if you still insist, using it actually consumes some extra power because it's just a filter effect, (like lowering the brightness when we usually edit photos that are too bright) AND I see your laptop here is an IPS screen laptop and that is not supposed to be supported, why was that feature open yesterday? It was because the application had an error in reading your laptop's specifications and now it has been fixed. |

if you still want that, there are many lightweight third party apps that can do that (I don't recommend it if you're using an IPS screen) |

@TheVoidKnight26 as @verrelewaldo answered, it was due to app checking OLED status in windows registry (incorrectly) in previous release, and showing it thinking it's OLED display Asus doesn't offer it for non OLEDds, so i prefer to be consistent here :) |

@TheVoidKnight26 if you really want dimming even on IPS (even tho it's not much sense), you can set a registry flag that app checks for OLED displays Just run following as admin in powershell |

I use an FA506NCG-HN200WS and i updated to the latest version of G-Helper and find the flicker-free dimming option missing, i used it when i wanted to use my laptop during night time with lights off when even the lowest brightness was too bright.
If Mr. Seerge removed it intentionally, then i kindly wish for it to be added back with the next update, but if it is still there, then i need a lil bit of help
